Make sure you are using the latest version: run youtube-dl --version and ensure your version is 2017.04.26. If it's not read this FAQ entry and update. Issues with outdated version will be rejected.

Bitrate report is not true.

Notice ffprobe says 143 kb/s while youtube dl 157 kb/s.
It was present on every video that i tested, in almost all audio only formats.

Bitrate metadata is provided by YouTube.
