Is there an api to stop downloading? #13022

I've verified and I assure that I'm running youtube-dl 2017.05.07

Before submitting an issue make sure you have:

At least skimmed through README and most notably FAQ and BUGS sections

For embeded usage, how could I stop download? is there an api like YoutubeDL.stop()?

No such API. Stopping depends on how you embed it.
