Right now it's difficult to extract destination IP and port of the URL from where VIDEO IS DOWNLOADED (IP/PORT info from all connections are not requred)
If this information can be included in --json-dumps It'll be very helpful for debugging purpose of a capture.

Right now in some cases while downloading a video it is easy to get sock object from this function below in utils.py

but in default scenario this function is not called then it becomes difficult to obtain that object, for that, we might need to make changes to "def _create_http_connection" in utils.py to get the sock object

There is no such option --json-dumps in the first place. If you're talking about --dump-json then no, such information won't be included since it's not related to downloading.
