Make sure you are using the latest version: run youtube-dl --version and ensure your version is 2017.07.30.1. If it's not, read this FAQ entry and update. Issues with outdated version will be rejected.

  • I've verified and I assure that I'm running youtube-dl 2017.07.30.1

Before submitting an issue make sure you have:

  • At least skimmed through the README, most notably the FAQ and BUGS sections
  • Searched the bugtracker for similar issues including closed ones

What is the purpose of your issue?

  • Bug report (encountered problems with youtube-dl)
  • Site support request (request for adding support for a new site)
  • Feature request (request for a new functionality)
  • Question
  • Other

URL example: http://www.medici.tv/en/concerts/operalia-2017-final-round-opera-placido-domingo/

youtube-dl contains an extractor for medici.tv, but it's not working for me currently:

  • The extractor doesn't understand the current URL format. Today, the medici.tv URLs have the format like "https://www.medici.tv/en/concerts/{id}/", while the extractor expects "https://www.medici.tv/#!/{id}". However, the good thing is that medici.tv redirects old-style URLs to their new-style analogs, therefore with this knowledge it's possible to construct a command line that allows that extractor.
  • For the successful downloading of the pages, the CSRF cookie need to be provided to youtube-dl (but that's, probably, as intended?).
  • Even when these two issues are resolved, the extractor fails with "Failed to parse JSON".

Attached please find the verbose logs.

Thanks in advance!
