Thanks for the report. Maybe we should clarify the language; Invalid URL means that youtube-dl doesn't support sohu yet.

We actually supported tv.sohu.com urls, but we didn't support my.tv.sohu.com urls.
I support changing the message when a url is not supported (maybe inviting to request it in github)
