  • I've verified and I assure that I'm running youtube-dl 2017.10.29
  • At least skimmed through the README, most notably the FAQ and BUGS sections
  • Searched the bugtracker for similar issues including closed ones

What is the purpose of your issue?

  • Feature request (request for a new functionality)

Description of your issue, suggested solution and other information

The ability to add the source URL of the file downloaded to metadata such as http://peggo.tv/ already does by default as shown in this example, would be a great feature imo. As far as I can tell this isn't already possible.

@dstftw This doesn't add the source URL to metadata. See here and here as apposed to http://peggo.tv/ here and here
