Description of your issue, suggested solution and other information

All programs using youtube-dl having same issue. I'm windows user and use programs as an easy way to get videos.

This url and others like it doesn't work
http://www.thirteen.org/american-family/introduction/

While another PBS site does work but don't have the same videos.
http://www.pbs.org/video/an-american-family-preview-trailer/

Youtube-dl list shows support for this site but is unable ATM to parse the web page correctly to get the videos.

Try using one of these direct-to-video player urls;
http://video.ket.org/video/1870935877/
http://player.pbs.org/portalplayer/1870935877/

The id # of the video can be retrieved from the player embed box on the initial page that you referenced.
