Download MPD File - no video formats found

Hi all, I'm trying to download a MPD file which contains dash format videos, however when I put the link into youtube-dl, it spits out this error:
ERROR: No video formats found; please report this issue on https://yt-dl.org/bug . Make sure you are using the latest version; type youtube-dl -U to update. Be sure to call youtube-dl with the --verbose flag and include its complete output.

I have the latest version but still having problems. If any of you could help that would be much appreciated.
