When I download video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQ8SZLXIS1g, He start the download at full speed of my bandwidth (=10 MBytes/second), until it stops with error "ContentTooShortError". When I retry the download I receive error "Did not get any data blocks".

I have a similar problem with Ubuntu's ubuntu-dl with this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgtBQH2PIKA

using the command

youtube-dl "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgtBQH2PIKA"

and got these errors:

"ERROR: content too short (expected 7657301 bytes and served 1313)"

and

"ERROR: Did not get any data blocks."

After some research, I think it has something to do with a so-called "Google DNS networked filesystem internal error" whatever that means. Anyways here's what I did to get this to work.

  1. Tried this: youtube-dl "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgtBQH2PIKA" -F
    This gave me more information about the file types.

  2. youtube-dl "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgtBQH2PIKA" -f 34
    Same errors

  3. youtube-dl "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgtBQH2PIKA" -f 18
    Same errors

  4. youtube-dl "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgtBQH2PIKA" -f 43
    This worked!

File was created as a webm file. Finally I opened audacity, and converted it into an MP3. Hope this somehow helps others who are having the same problem.
