.3gp files downloading extremely slow

When downloading .3gp files from YouTube, the speed of the download is extremely slow. I usually use -f 36 to download files to move to a flash drive, but either of the small .3gp files I have tried to download (MANY tries, MANY different channels) will all of a sudden go down to just a few kb a second from 1.5mbps.... same videos with .webm or mp4 download at regular speed.

Note, I did do the -4/--force-ipv4 to see if that would change anything. It didn't.
