I've verified and I assure that I'm running youtube-dl 2018.01.27

Description of your issue, suggested solution and other information

youtube-dl does not use external downloaders (tested aria2c and axel) when trying to download a specific video AND using --format bestvideo+bestaudio. --format best works as expected. Other videos seem to work.
