Sorry, our current hosting provider (or more precisely, its network provider) is getting DoS-ed. In the meantime, you can download youtube-dl from http://youtube-dl.net/downloads/2013.10.09/youtube-dl.exe . I'm working on setting up the alternative server on a more permanent basis so that we can fall back faster in the future.

A google drive/dropbox/ubuntu one free cloud backup mirror could be a fast
and easy alternative.

@Elite Sure, that could be an option, but the problem is automatic uploads and site generation. Feel free to provide a PR for any service.

I guess GDrive and dropbox both support static websites and can be scripted
(specially dropbox) to auto-mirror the main site.

yt-dl.org is now up again, and the fallback youtube-dl.net is being moved to a better server.
