avconv built without https support. Either fix or use ffmpeg. |

Is avconv a program like ffmpeg? I'd like to download the trailer from "https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5232792/?ref_=nv_sr_1", and "https://www.imdb.com/videoplayer/vi539015193?ref_=ttvi_vi_imdb_2" and it says on "https://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/supportedsites.html" that youtube-dl can download videos from imdb pages, so if avconv isn't compatible with https, then could you please tell me how to use ffmpeg with youtube-dl to download the trailer from those pages? Thanks. |

Do you know how to download videos from "https://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/supportedsites.html" and "https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5232792/?ref_=nv_sr_1" with youtube-dl? Thanks. |
youtube-dl is a great program, because it has lots of features, and usually downloads videos reliably from a variety of websites in a wide range of formats, but on "https://www.imdb.com/videoplayer/vi539015193?ref_=ttvi_vi_imdb_2" which is a page that has a specific movie trailer, it doesn't seem to be able to download the video, but the video plays fine in browsers, and other programs and browser add-ons can download it fine as well. Is youtube-dl having trouble downloading it, because it doesn't have the correct download url, and if so, how can an average user know how to find the correct download url for videos on different websites, if they put the url for the page where the videos play properly, and youtube-dl doesn't download them, shouldn't youtube-dl be able to automatically find the correct download url for a video if given the url for the page where the video is? Is there a way to fix that? Thanks.
