Protocol not found - correct URL this time #16843

I have:

  • [ X] Checked that provided video/audio/playlist URLs (if any) are alive and playable in a browser

What is the purpose of your issue?

  • [ X] Bug report (encountered problems with youtube-dl)

Previous bug report URL had a copy/paste error that wouldn't load in browser. My bad. This is legit.

If the purpose of this issue is a site support request please provide all kinds of example URLs support for which should be included (replace following example URLs by yours):

Note that youtube-dl does not support sites dedicated to copyright infringement. In order for site support request to be accepted all provided example URLs should not violate any copyrights.

URL loads in browser, video plays, but youtube-dl errors out.

Your avconv is built without https supports. Either fix or use ffmpeg.

Thanks. I thought I was using ffmpeg. Appreciate the quick reply Sergei!

Also, the problem appears to have corrected itself (same URL works fine now, thanks Google/YouTube), so I'm not 100% sure that was the root cause.

Appreciate all that you do, youtube-dl is great.
