I am not using the latest version, but I cannot update to the latest version. I installed it manually. I keep getting this error every time I try to update:

ERROR: can't find the current version. Please try again later.

How do I update, then? I don't want to try again later, and I shouldn't have to.
I have version 2018.06.04. I have a 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina Display, running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6
