Make sure you are using the latest version: run youtube-dl --version and ensure your version is 2018.09.10. If it's not, read this FAQ entry and update. Issues with outdated version will be rejected.

  • I've verified and I assure that I'm running youtube-dl 2018.09.10

Note that youtube-dl does not support sites dedicated to copyright infringement. In order for site support request to be accepted all provided example URLs should not violate any copyrights.

Youtube-dl fails to download videos from foxsports.com, see the errors from command line output. This is a BUG report since foxsports.com is a supported site. These are public videos available from their website. I currently use youtube-dl to successfully download videos from other supported sites without any problems.

I just upgraded to latest version (10/29/2018) and I am still getting the same problem.

Feel free to bump the issue from time to time by writing a small comment ("Issue is still present in youtube-dl version ...from France, but fixed from Belgium"), but please not more than once a month. Please do not declare your issue as important or urgent.
