How can a Twitter video be "not found" if it is actually there? (seems to have fixed itself) #17628

If the purpose of this issue is a site support request please provide all kinds of example URLs support for which should be included (replace following example URLs by yours):

Note that youtube-dl does not support sites dedicated to copyright infringement. In order for site support request to be accepted all provided example URLs should not violate any copyrights.


Description of your issue, suggested solution and other information

YouTube-dl reports that, as per the verbose bug report I am submitting here, the video has a "404 error" despite the fact that I have opened the Twitter URL in a browser and the video there works fine

The issue seems to have just now gone away by itself now.

I'm experimenting this kind of errors

looks something that some times happens but not sure WHY

Hi Kikobeats,

I have since found that while it wasn't very obvious, the video was from an external source and not Twitter, and clicking through and getting the URL of the external source works fine.
