Hi guys,

Using youtube-dl-gui, I have no issues downloading files from any supported site, but every time I download something from CBC in Canada, the audio begins in sync and very quickly shifts out of sync.

Worse yet, on the latest downloads, there are now lengthy gaps in the audio as well as the ongoing sync issues.

Could some provide a fix for this, please? Or at least provide a way to work around this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Issue closed and then labelled as incomplete without so much as a response to explain what might be happening?

No need to be a bit of a dick about it. Simply tell me I missed some details. I don't do this very often and am only doing so because I'd like to help the community and I'd like to see if there's an issue with the software or site that needs fixing.

Just a simple comment to explain the reason for the closure is the kind of courtesy that encourages those of us who are not developers to assist those of you that are. But it's responses like yours that make some of us reluctant to help.

All files downloaded from CBC have a consisten audio delay of 33ms. Is something that youtube-dl can fix/adjust on the fly?

Also, some video files are captured with variable frame rates, while others have a set frame rate of 29.97fps. Again, this something that youtube-dl can fix/adjust on the fly?

Using MkvToMp4, this can be fixed resulting in a usable video file, but it would be good to not have to go through the repair process every time something is downloaded from CBC.
