Make sure you are using the latest version: run youtube-dl --version and ensure your version is 2018.11.23. If it's not, read this FAQ entry and update. Issues with outdated version will be rejected.

Description of your issue, suggested solution and other information

Until a few weeks ago, downloads from videos hosted by mycanal.fr were possible through the URL of the video (accessible through a well placed right click). However, the site has changed the structure (and maybe the servers) for the video links.
An old video link would be in that form (the URL still works actually): https://strcpluscplus-vh.akamaihd.net/i/1810/26/1198741_6_,200k,400k,800k,1500k,.mp4.csmil/master.m3u8?secret=pqzerjlsmdkjfoiuerhsdlfknaes
However, the same video is now hosted officially here: http://hls-od-mycanal-aka.canal-plus.com/replay/cplus/hls/cpl100019805-ant-1198741-6/ANT_1198741_6.m3u8
The URL for the web browser hasn't changed: https://www.mycanal.fr/divertissement/groland-le-zapoi-emission-du-27-oct-2018/h/10441916_50001

Updated youtube-dl to the 2018.11.23 release. The problem is still there.
