Make sure you are using the latest version: run youtube-dl --version and ensure your version is 2018.12.17. If it's not, read this FAQ entry and update. Issues with outdated version will be rejected.

  • I've verified and I assure that I'm running youtube-dl 2018.12.17

Format 136 is not availabe at youtube side.

Please, articulate more in detail your explanation. Why a missing format is requested by the script by default and how can I determine the correct value for the -f parameter?

[EDIT] for whom it may concern (i.e., for those who have the same issue and did not understand the suggestion given above): I eventually solved my problem by passing the "-f best" parameter.

The default is bestvideo+bestaudio/best, so at least for the time being you can just leave the whole parameter out.
