-vflag to your command line you run youtube-dl with (youtube-dl -v <your command line>), copy the whole output and insert it here. Description of your issue, suggested solution and other information
The download fails when
-f 'bestvideo[ext=mp4]+bestaudio[ext=m4a]/mp4'is used. I presume the reason for this issue is that the chosen audio and video formats don't match for some reason and can't be merged to mp4 (please correct me if I'm wrong); I observed that-f bestinstead of-f 'bestvideo[ext=mp4]+bestaudio[ext=m4a]/mp4'works well for this YouTube video.Available formats are:
Regardless, without the
-vflag, the only error message I get isLast message repeated 1 timesand I have no idea what happened:It would be great if youtube-dl could actually merge formats or download the matching ones, but, if that's not possible, it would be fine if the error message could be improved.
