Vimeo password protected videos

I'm not sure if this is a critical bug, but just letting you know.

So, I've got this password protected video from Vimeo - http://vimeo.com/315979541/0b87063fdf

This command works just fine:
youtube-dl -v http://vimeo.com/315979541 --video-password XXXXX

However, if the original link is pasted I'm getting this:
youtube-dl -v http://vimeo.com/315979541/0b87063fdf --video-password XXXXX
