Hello,

a little Bugreport. The german Mediathek from ZDF has for some Videos (mostly like /beitraege/ a not functioned video-format like .asf:

h264_aac_mp4_http_na_na-veryhigh mp4 852x480 h264 @1500k, aac @ 96k, 29.81MiB
h264_aac_mp4_http_na_na-veryhigh mp4 852x480 h264 @1500k, aac @ 96k, 29.81MiB
wmv3_wma9_asf_mms_asx_http-veryhigh asf 688x384 wmv3 @1400k, wma9
@192k, 28.61MiB (best)

And youtube-dl take this marked as best and download the asf file. I must use the -f parameter for correct this manuell.

Please can you correct this, that asf are not a -F Format or give it up to an asf-compatible downloader.

Thanks for the report. By accident, we sorted in unknown formats as best instead of worst. This has been fixed in youtube-dl 2013.12.10. We may also add ASF support (it's fairly simple) in the future, but that just leads to an mms URL, which is not as easy to download as an HTTP one.
