Mmm, getting HD video doesn't seem trivial. Currently, the vimeo IE does not support any format but the standard one served via mogaloop. You're welcome to contribute code or a description of how to get HD videos. |

Actually, it is simple to get HD videos. I will give it a shot and send you a pull request in the next few days (busy with other stuff at the moment). |

@semprom: Do you want that? :) I am very busy right now, but I will try to look into making the selection of video quality for vimeo and, perhaps, generalizing this thing to other IEs, but no promises as to the time of that... In the mean time, if you really only need to grab SD videos from vimeo, you can edit the script to kill the test for HD... :) |

Hi,
When I "youtube-dl http://vimeo.com/11362882", I get a 22MB mp4 file in SD.
When I capture the FLV video with my own tools, I get a 65MB mp4 file in HD.
It looks like youtube-dl does not download the best format by default in vimeo.
Maybe it's intended or a known bug.
Do you want me to look into it?
Is the -f option used for vimeo too?
