Please, consider adding music.youtube.com parsing. It has a bit more metadata including album, year and often explicit mark.
Here is an example link
Tracks are grouped by albums there so it's a perfect source of music downloads.

It would be really helpful to organize the whole stuff automatically.

Is this issue still up for grabs?

@preekaur I think so. It would be also useful to implement the download of whole channels with correct Metadata.

@GangsterTux @kvorobyov hey guys. I was just wondering, how would you like the data organized? Did you have a specific format in mind? Should the information be presented in the description, or do you want me to generate it in another file? Sorry for bombarding you with so many questions! But any thoughts or feedback you may have would be very helpful.

The present behaviour of metadata storing can be seen with the --metadata flag.
The metadata is stored in the audio file itself (this format is used by nearly all mediaplayers, too), but this data is often wrong and incomplete.
The goal would be a correct and complete storage of the metadata.
There is no general format for this metadata; Every audio format handles it in a different way.
Examples would be Vorbia comment for the Vorbis-format (.ogg) and ID3(v2) for mp3.

Hi again. So at this time I am unable to grab the explicit mark in the metadata. However, I was able to grab the album and year data. Is there anything else you would like me to add to the metadata?

The correct artist would be nice... Often the artist is wrong (f.e. if you use a artist's page the metadata flag is "<Artist's name> - Topic" - youtube.dl version 2019.03.09 - don't know if it's fixed now)
Because of your metadata-problem: Did you mean that you can't write the data into the metadata flags of the audio files or did I get you wrong?
I think to save the metadata you could have a look on the metadata-options of ffmpeg, it supports metadata saving for nearly all kinds of formats with the same syntax for all the formats.
As far as I know youtube-dl uses this way for metadata saving anyway.

Quite a few songs have their artist name in chinese in addition to english in the autogenerated description. Can we just skip the chinese stuff?
Here are a few examples:
