Installing with apt get or the instructions:

sudo curl -L https://yt-dl.org/downloads/latest/youtube-dl -o /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl

sudo chmod a+rx /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl

gave me outdated version.

After purging apt, I had to output to /usr/bin/youtube-dl instead of local for it to work. Thanks :d
