Hi, I know it is a bit childish, but I am create this same issue again, because I think the reply was back then not satisfying for many of us: #13064

Please make youtube-dl available as a flatpak package, to make latest version more promptly available on all supported platforms
The first issue is now ~2 years old i recreate it, because some things have changed and maybe the opinions on that topic too.
Flatpak growed massivly over the last to years. It also would be the first clean solution for Debian users, because backports and stable never are this fast with updates.
