Using 2013.08.29 version on Ubuntu 13.10.

You are using an outdated version, run sudo youtube-dl -U to get the last version. Then you'll see something like this:

I've just upgraded to 2014.02.04.1, it downloaded the video.

When will the ubuntu package be updated?!?
I installed youtube-dl with sudo apt-get install youtube-dl, and I still have this problem.
I have tried to run sudo youtube-dl -U but it doesn't update it.

Ubuntu has a policy not to update major version of packages once released. Consider download youtube-dl to /usr/local/bin or check out the backport. (I'm not so sure if there's a youtube-dl's backport in Ubuntu.)
