@atomicdryad Note that this user uses their distribution's packages. This has been fixed in version 2014.02.21.1. Contact your distribution's maintainer and request a new package (after that, you'll be able to upgrade with apt-get as usual). Alternatively, you can remove youtube-dl with |

had the same problem, solved after removing the package installed using apt-get and reinstalling from the source using curl.. |

I did execute
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
and still get this error
