Those videos are blocked from my region, but you are running an outdated version (I think we've fixed some problems with the subtitles since then) you should try with a more recent version (use |

Hey, it downloads the videos and then the subtitles (it takes a while to download videos so I did not notice before.)

Is the issue solved then? |

No, sadly, it was actually downloading a second video. I was trying to get 1 file at a time from a play list and it is downloading the whole thing (which I would have done eventually anyway.) I updated to the latest version, Still no go. I'm also getting: ERROR: YouTube said: This video does not exist. Which causes it to quit. I know some of the videos don't exist -- I have no choice in the matter, so I think it would be better if it did not quit. I've found that if you pass the --playlist-start NUMB where number is one past where the ofending url is it will continue downloading. Here's the whole out put from downloading one url (I changed the language to es, which I think is spanish, in hopes of getting spanish subtitles but it did not help): % youtube-dl -f 22 --prefer-free-formats --write-sub --all-subs --sub-lang es --playlist-start 22 --verbose 'http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwy9RgVchUBlFyckRuq22N1qtyAdXkQOE'

As you may or may not know, mundofox, the tv station, used to broadcast alcapo2 with en subtitles but it stopped doing. I when to youtube thinking that it was likely that they had several episodes on it and I was right. I also reasoned that it would have subtitles and I was right about that two. I wanted to download the videos with the Spanish subtitles, as my intranet connection is intermittent, for future viewing and translating. However, I can't seem to find a tool to do it yours reports that there are no subtitles yet I've seen them when I visit youtube. Here's the command and it's output:
youtube-dl --all-subs -v --prefer-free-formats -f 22 --no-check-certificate 'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GYoxfpy_xo&list=PLwy9RgVchUBlFyckRuq22N1qtyAdXkQOE&index=3'
