Question

Hey everyone,

any (German) c't uplink watchers here?

I wonder why, when downloading a c't uplink video, there is nearly no meta information stored in the description of the video itself. E.g. when downloading https://www.heise.de/news/Die-c-t-Security-Checklisten-2021-c-t-uplink-34-5-4904126.html all I get is this:
´´´
Movie name : Die c’t-Security-Checklisten 2021 | c’t uplink 34.5
Description : Digitale Sicherheit ist wichtig! Deshalb gibt es die c’t-Security-Checklisten, über die wir im c’t uplink reden.
´´´

Looking into the RSS feed of ct't uplink on https://www.heise.de/ct/uplink/ctuplinkvideohd.rss there is quite a summary which could be placed into the metadata. Unfortunately if I download the RSS feed it is handled as generic file and only the links to the mp4 files are downloaded, but no meta information added.

So the question is.. should more description be placed into the downloaded file? Or would the RSS feed be in need of a new extractor for itself to gather title, description and date as metadata?
