--no-playlist Option is ignored on Youtube #26857

Or do I get the option wrong and it only doesn't download the whole playlist if it is a link to a video that has a playlist attached. Like this: This works as expected. But I thought the option says that no playlists are downloaded at all. |

I think I have misunderstood the option as described, I close the issue with this. |

Sorry for the long log, it's actually not very meaningful, because the problem is that the playlist was downloaded although I had specified the
--no-playlistoption.I think the problem lies in the function
_check_download_just_videofrom the extractor youtube.py. This is also the only place where thenoplaylistparameter is checked (for youtube). At this place (line 2888)query_dictcontains the array['PLVeO96HMNvmbGxyVnJt4aLKdMNKvyAqnO']andurlis'https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVeO96HMNvmbGxyVnJt4aLKdMNKvyAqnO'Then
video_idremainsNoneand therefore it is not checked at all if it is a playlist.I would fix it myself, but I don't know what is expected as a result at this point.
