Try to update, in version
|

It downloads fine in the last version, what do you mean with the title |

@jaimeMF just what I wrote. As can be seen above, I am/was trying to see which file sizes are there. The command :-
gives you, the user the different options. If you look at the verbose output I shared, it gives the following :-
which means it's not able to extract the information for some reason. I tried the same with youtube, dailymotion etc. and couple of other website and it works. I went to the site and it's there and a traceroute so the site is reachable as well. Unless the extraction code tells me what versions are available I cannot download the specific version. Just for the record, I did the same experiment again with the SAME results. From @pulpe 's attempt it seems there are some differences between the two versions. Hopefully this explanation tells what the problem is at my end. I have written to the debian maintainer and hopefully will get the new version soonish and this bug will be history. I am in two minds whether to close the bug now or wait for the new version to come into Debian. |

In the old version it just extracted one format (as you can see in the output), so you can only download it. |
|
I cannot reopen it but in the 'old version' it doesn't tell or extract any format. If you look at #2828 (comment) you would see it doesn't work with the 'last version' but dunno which version are you talking the 2014.02.17 version or some later version. Anyways hoping the maintainer updates to the new version soonish. |

What @jaimeMF meant is that it works fine with youtube-dl 2014.04.21.6. Therefore, the problem is that your distribution has an outdated package, and that's out of scope for this bugtracker. The output
looks fine to me. If you want us to reopen this issue, please post what you would expect instead. |
Hi all,
Got this while trying to get info. about a video from vine.
Looking forward to a resolution. I tried it multiple times. I was able to download the video by reading the source-code of the web-page but probably not the best resolution.
