Thanks for the report! We only supported /video/* urls, they will work in the next version.
Keep in mind that this specific videos is not available from my location, so I have tested with other urls like http://www.nbcnews.com/feature/edward-snowden-interview/snowden-wire-n117661 and http://www.nbcnews.com/feature/edward-snowden-interview/how-twitter-reacted-snowden-interview-n117236, if it doesn't work please comment here and we'll try to fix it.

Again, thank you for the report. This should be fixed in youtube-dl 2014.05.30.1. Type sudo youtube-dl -U to update.
