This is a feature request to add multi-threaded downloading to youtube-dl, to bypass YouTube's upload throttling that prevents you from downloading video data faster than their system calculates it would take you to watch it.

(At least that's my educated guess why downloads sometimes barely use my connection.)

Duplicate of an ignored bug, so fix it. Sure, that's effective.
