Are my google account details sent to youtube? If so, which ones? Where are the settings for this?

At the moment, YouTube just expects you to click a button, and youtube-dl does that. Other services - or even YouTube in the future - may require you to be logged in for that.

Use --username and --password or a netrc file to specify your account data.
