Video not available in server's country (USA)

Hello, I have a problem with youtube-dl running on a server in USA. It return this error on almost all videos:
ERROR: VuNIsY6JdUw: YouTube said: Unfortunately, this video is not available in your country because it could contain music, for which we could not agree on conditions of use with GEMA.

Are you sure your server's connection is routed in the US as well? If so, it may be an error in YouTube's geodetection. Can you post the output of curl https://yt-dl.org/ip and ip -6 a from your server? If you don't want to see them in public, you can also mail them to me at phihag@phihag.de.

Ok, that address is definitly in the US, so that shouldn't be the problem. What do you see if you visit the site from that address in a webrowser?

Here's a small php proxy of a youtube video as seen by the server (the code I used: )

It thinks the server is in germany...

Sorry, this is out of the scope of youtube-dl. You can use a proxy, or request another IP address from a different block, or contact YouTube and hope they fix their geolocation database.
