My best bets would be either a broken proxy or (as usual) a censoring ISP. Needs further pondering and investigation. |

8555 seems to be Hotspot Shield (a VPN software), so we may also be able to reproduce this. |

Thanks for the quick reply. I should mention that I had them to try both https and http variations. I will see if they have the ability to temporarily bypass their VPN software to assist the investigation. |

It looks like Hotspot Shield allows you to choose from a list of international servers. I'll also suggest that they choose a different server location if their vpn software allows for it. |

Experiencing failures on all Youtube downloads via proxy. All Youtube links fail, but Metacafe links work for example. Both 2014.08.29 and 2014.09.01.2 versions have been tried, yielding the same failure. Let me know if you require additional information.
