Downloading country-blocked videos (Or: Parse from file) #380

Some videos are country-blocked on youtube. However, you can still download the actual video data, if you know the URL.

As such, I propose one of the two features which would both solve this issue:

  1. Support downloading the video information page through a proxy (but not the actual video)
  2. Support parsing the .html file from disk instead of attempting to download it. (This way I could use wget with a proxy to get the video information page manually)

YouTube has closed this hole and you must download the whole video via proxy now.
