It would be very very useful if it could automatically create folders with playlists names when downloading the playlists section of a channel (i.e. youtube.com/user/USERNAME/playlists)

Can you tell us where (and with what keywords etc.) you looked for this option? We'll add a note there.

As documented, you can simply use %(uploader)s and %(playlist)s in the output template, like this:

$ youtube-dl  -o '/home/phihag/videos/%(uploader)s/%(playlist)s/%(title)s.%(ext)s' --get-filename --playlist-end 1 PL5AE03D29D17853DE

/home/phihag/videos/BadmintonWorld.tv/Para-Badminton -- towards the 2020 Paralympic Games/Badminton – a Paralympic Sport.mp4

I mean, if I'm downloading all the playlists of a particular channel, it would be useful if youtube-dl automatically generated subfolders and downloaded all different videos in every specific subfolder named as the playlist.

In the absence of a specific output template this may be sensible default indeed. More formally, extractors should be able to indicate that a returned playlist contains only playlists. If that is the case (and the template is the default), prepend the template for the affected results with the playlist name, or, if the playlist name is not unique, the playlist ID.

This feature is supported since youtube-dl 2015.11.21 for URLs of the following format: http://www.youtube.com/user/<user>/playlists.
