RegexNotFoundError: Unable to extract Initial JS player signature function name #4200

I've seen this error twice today, on two different videos:

Just got a very similar error. This is using the debian package version 2014.10.30-1 from debian unstable.

You are using an outdated version of youtube-dl (the YouTube player changed on November 13th, 2014, so you'll need youtube-dl 2014.11.13 or newer). See our FAQ on how to update.

Thanks, and sorry about that. I did check that it was the latest Homebrew version, and that it was recent (4 Nov). Whoever maintains the Homebrew formula must not have updated.
