Since YouTube have HQ videos like 4K, 60 FPS, etc., youtube-dl script can't download its audio. One would have to get both video and audio and manually merge them. It would be nice to get both at the same time and merge automatically. Here is an example of a HQ YouTube download:

$ youtube-dl -F https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfPg36MvdZY

If you have ffmpeg/avconv installed you can just run youtube-dl -f bestvideo+bestaudio "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfPg36MvdZY".

It has been around for a while, but we documented it just a week ago: https://github.com/rg3/youtube-dl/blob/master/README.md#video-format-options.

Question: Why does YouTube separate both audio and videos for their HQ videos?
