youtube-dl can now only rip most recent BBC iPlayer videos #4214

This will probably be fixed in the next release of youtube-dl. I was unable to do proper testing as they ban proxies/tor nodes almost immediately, so testers from UK are very welcome. |

All seems OK now so thanks to the devs for fixing this. I will post back in this thread if the prob comes back. Some old programmes I tried to download last week have now been removed from iPlayer of course. The BBC takes some programmes off after 7 days. |

I'm using the latest youtube-dl build (updated just now) with the latest build of RTMPDump and up until a few days ago all was working fine, but I now can't d/l slightly older BBC iPlayer videos; e.g. this:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0085byk/the-slammer-series-1-episode-6
now gives "ERROR: Episode b0085byk is no longer available"
By older I mean added to bbc.co.uk more than just a few days go.
I can still d/l recent iPlayer additions, e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b044730b/the-slammer-the-slammer-returns-1-mumble-son rips OK. I can view all iPlayer content OK in my browser.
Is this to do with the page's playlist XML?
