Is there documentation on how -citw works or if it pulls from like -c + -i + -t + -w together. Pardon if this is at all a dumb question, I just am trying to figure out the "how" behind the "what" so to speak. Also, the count that this gets seems to be a bit off, such a case is the vice channel. youtube-dl grabs 1379 videos when youtube lists 1393.

Who told you to pass in -citw? Actually, there is some documentation - do not pass in -citw. (If you want to know what these options do, or at least used to do, that's also documented).

When you pass in -i, you instruct youtube-dl to continue with the next video if it encounters an error. That alone may be the reason. YouTube may include private or deleted videos in the count of videos. There is also a limitation in YouTube's API, although I'm not sure of the exact video count.

Now, if you are having a problem with downloading a channel, please file a new issue and include the full output you get when you add the -v option.
