Hi.

I'm using windows eight point one to run youtube-dl and have noticed I get this error when downloading a playlist.

[download] Downloading video 40 of 1391
[youtube] -3jR_v6aGa0: Downloading webpage
ERROR: Unable to download webpage: <urlopen error [Errno 10060] A connection att
empt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period
of time or established connection failed because connected host has failed to re
spond> (caused by URLError(error(10060, 'A connection attempt failed because the
connected party did not properly respond after a period of time or established
connection failed because connected host has failed to respond'),))

I'm sorry I don't know how to show the log of youtube-dl.

If it's a capture problem, I'd really like it if there was a way around that, as a blind person filling in captures is impossible unless either; 1. I use tools for that, that aren't up to date. Or 2. I get sited help, which is not possible at the moment.

Yes I can use audio captures but they're mostly hard to hear.

I've just tried putting the URL into firefox and didn't get a capture page, so I'm guessing it's not that.

I've updated to the latest version of youtube-dl, (I updated today.) And still get the same error.

Thanks for helping.

hi,

you can get debugging info with the -v option:
youtube-dl -v LinkToThePlaylist

did you try to download the failing video separately?
And are you downloading it from on of the supported sites ?

Hi.

Thanks for your help.

I was downloading the video from youtube.com

I've decided that I don't need that playlist so you can close this ticket.

Thanks again.

I hope you're having a nice day,
Brad.
