With youtube-dl.exe 2015.04.17, ffmpeg git-cbe2700 (N-71633-gcbe2700) and smplayer 14.9.0.6812, I can play the resultant mkv fluently. Could you post the log from the following command?
(Note it's mplayer.exe, not smplayer.exe) |

Works perfectly for me with exactly same versions of smplayer/ffmpeg. |

Crashes without any errors? Anyway, I think the problem is from mplayer/ffmpeg rather than youtube-dl. A better solution should be seeking help from respective developers. |

Watching it on YouTube is OK.
But playing downloaded video makes local player software (mpc-hc and smplayer) crash at around 10 seconds from beginning.
Any idea?
