avconv subprocess does not respect youtube_dl --proxy setting

Proxy logs and lsof show that the avconv subprocess is not using the proxy configured with --proxy.

I couldn't find an option for setting the proxy in avconv/ffmpeg, do you know how to do it?
Using an environment variable probably works, could you try running export http_proxy=<PROXY> before running youtube-dl?

The environment variable works! Thanks, that's great. Maybe youtube-dl can set it when running avconv?
