Any updates on this? Looking at their scripts, it seems that they also have a limited JSON API under https://www.sitepoint.com/premium/api/v1:

• /courses - Lists all courses (only public?)
• /dashboard - Lists recommended, seen, coming soon etc.
• some more endpoints which I couldn't connect to the individual courses / lessons / steps

This site is extremely useful and has a lots of tutorial videos. They even allow direct downloading of individual lesson steps for premium members. I'd still prefer youtube-dl because it will allow me to download in batch.

I'm using version 2017.07.23. I've tried using youtube-dl -umyuser@gmail.com -p'mypassword' -o '%(playlist)s - %(playlist_index)s. %(title)s-%(id)s.%(ext)s' https://www.sitepoint.com/premium/courses/introduction-to-git-2902, but seems that it doesn't work. :(
