Is Ted Talks Working?

I saw Ted Talks had been added, so I got the latest Youtube-dl, but it didn't work. I used the URL that was used in the closed Ted Talks thread. Is this supposed to be working now? Since the version that got downloaded is dated 2013.02.02 and the thread was more recent, does this mean that the changes weren't added to the Windows exe? Thanks.

You are right, the exe hasn't been updated

While we release often, we don't immediately release after every new feature, so unless you're using the git version, you may have to wait a couple of hours 😉 . youtube-dl v2013.02.18 with TED support is now released, you can type

sudo youtube-dl -U

to update.
