Maybe this is a wishlist bug: it would be great if --flat-playlist worked with --get-url or --get-title or other --get- features to allow users to get reports about the content of playlists. Supporting --get-duration for flat-playlists would be cool because then you would know how many hours of video you are about to download.

I don't thinks that's a priority, since you can use the json output instead (which I would recommend almost in every case)).

it would be great if --flat-playlist worked with --get-url

For extracting the download url we must extract all the info, so --flat-playlist won't work.

Now supported as far as your extractor works with --flat-playlist: #22493
